UP Law Grad Tops the October 2013 Bar exams

Congratulation to Nielson Pangan, a law graduate from the University of the Philippines, topped the 1,174 examinees who passed the 2013 Bar examinations held last October at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

According to 2013 Bar chairman and Supreme Court Associate Justice Arturo Brion at a briefing in Manila, the Bar exams' passing rate was 22.18 percent and five other UP law graduates were included in the Top 10.

A total of 5,293 examinees hurdled the four Sundays of the exams, from the original 5,593 who were admitted to take them in October last year. According to the Supreme Court, 5,641 law graduates applied for the 2013 Bar exams.
