Re-Scheduling of Social Workers Licensure Examination from June 12-13 to June 26-27, 2012.
WHEREAS, in the exercise of its power under Section 7 (d) of R.A. No. 8981, the Commission issued Resolution No. 2009-537, Series of 2009 which fixed the dates and designated the places for holding the Board licensure examinations for Calendar Year 2012. The said Resolution includes the dates and places of the Board Licensure Examination for Social Workers on June 12 & 13, 2012 (Tuesday & Wednesday);
WHEREAS, Mindanao State University in Marawi City has expressed its concern that their graduates may not be able to take the said examination because the required documents for graduation like S.O. from CHED and others; are not easily secured, and that teachers of other schools offering BSSW program in Mindanao are not comfortable with the early schedule of the examination; and
WHEREAS, the Professional Regulatory Board for Social Workers has acknowledged the importance of the request from Mindanao State university to provide the graduate ample time to secure graduation and other documents in support of their applications for Board licensure examination.
NOW, THEREFORE, the board resolve, as it is hereby resolved, to respectfully recommend to this good Commission for the rescheduling of the Social Workers Licensure Examination from June 12 & 13, 2012 to June 26 & 27, 2012 (Tuesday & Wednesday); the rescheduling of deadline of the Application Period from May 23, 2012 to June 6, 2012; and the Encoding of Test Questions from April 16,17,18 & 19 and May 11 & 31, 2012.
Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the Board for Social Workers, Director for Licensure Application Division, Examination Division, Rating Division, Office of the Secretary, Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs), ICT Division, Legal Division, Supply & Property Division, Budget Division, Accounting Division, ESTF, PIMRU, all Regional Offices and all schools, colleges and universities offering the Social Work course for their information and guidance.
