The Board of Guidance and Counseling announces the result for August 2011 Guidance and Counseling Licensure Examination also known as August 2011 Guidance and Counseling Board Exam held in Manila, on August 30 - 31, 2011. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 125 out of 249 passed the Guidance Counselor Licensure Examination given by the Board of Guidance and Counseling in Manila last August 2011 and 4 applicants were approved for registration without examination as Guidance Counselors in accordance with the provisions of R.A. No. 8981, cited as the “PRC Modernization Act of 2004”, Section 14, Article III of Republic Act No. 9258, known as the “Guidance and Counseling Act of 2004”, and Section 14, Rule III of Resolution No. 02, Series of 2007, known as the “Rules and Regulations of the Guidance and Counseling Act of 2004”, and per Board Resolution No. 03 dated September 1, 2011, Series of 2011. The members of the Board of Guidance and Counseling are Dr. Luzviminda S. Guzman, Chairman; Dr. Elena V. Morada and Dr. Carmelita P. Pabiton, Members.
The results were released in two (2) days from the last day of examination.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 but not later than September 9, 2011. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2011-2014. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The successful examinees are advised to verify from the PRC website on the announcements of oathtaking rites’ schedules, venues, etc.
