Revised Program of the October 2011 Naval Architect and Marine Engineer Licensure Examination



The Board of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering announces the program of the  October 2011 Naval Architect and Marine Engineer Licensure Examination also known as  October 2011 Naval Architect and Marine Engineer Board Exam to be held in Manila on October 11, 12 and 13, 2011. This program is officially released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

IMPORTANT REMAINDERS: 
  1. Your school/building assignment will be posted at the PRC premises one to two working days before the examination. Bring your Notice of Admission when you verify your school/building assignment. Visit your school/building assignment prior to the day of the examination.
  2. Report to the school/building assignment before 6:30am on the first day of examination to verify your room and seat number. Be punctual, late examinees will not be admitted. Examination Fee of ABSENT examinees will be forteited.
  3. Examinees are required to wear the following attire every examination day:
    • Male Examinees   -   White polo shirts or T-shirts with collar, tucked-in
    • Female Examinees   -  White blouses or T-shirts with collar
  4. Bring the following on examination day:
    • Notice of Admission
    • Official Receipt
    • One piece metered-stamped window mailing envelope
    • Two or more pencils (No. 2)
    • Ball pens with BLACK ink only
    • One piece long brown envelope
    • One piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
    • Non-Programmable Calculators (Refer to list on the Examinees guide)
  5. The following are Prohibited inside the examination premises/rooms.
    • Books, notes, review materials and other printed materials containing principles or excerpts thereof, coded data/information/formula
    • PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATORS.
    • Cellular phones, beepers, portable computers or other similar gadgets/devices.
    • Bags of any kind (ladies bag, shoulder bags, attache case, backpacks, etc.)
    • Other examination aides not stated on this program shall not be brought inside the examination building.
  6. Read carefully and follow the instruction on your Notice of Admission.
          NOTE: PRC will not be answerable for prohibited items that will be lost.


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. On the third day (October 13, 2011) - Every candidate is required to bring to the examination room the following: drawing instruments, mechanical pencils, T-square, metric scales, Triangle 30" x 60" or 45" x 45" or both, Scientific calculator, masking tape, Manual of Steel Construction. ABS Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels under 71m or 91m and ABS Rules for Building and Classing Steel Barges. Tracing Paper 900 mm x 600 mm will be furnished by the Board. No books of similar titles, review materials and other examination aids will be allowed inside the examination building.
  2. Use only black ink for the entire design examination. Using different color other than black is considered as marked paper
  3. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination rooms, borrow anything or communicate with one another on any subject matter. Every candidate is required to bring his/her lunch and/or supper (placed inside transparent/plastic bags) with him/her during the examination. No food of any kind carried by any persons intended for any candidate during the progress of the examination shall be entertained by watchers or received by any candidate.
  4. You are allowed to bring and use drawing board.
